Glue for glaze
It is rcommended when the glaze is applied by brush.
It has multiple effects
:
- it make the application of the glaze much easier because it gives the glaze much more plasticity
- the glaze sticks much stronger on the ceramic base and after that the dry glaze on the glazed item is very hard to be damaged
- prevents the glaze to settle down
Dosing:
The indicative dosing is one tea spoon to 500 grams dry glaze. But you can put more or less depending on you personal prefference. The glue burns out during firing and it does not affect the glaze performance in any way. In practise most of the ceramicists dose it "by feeling".
IMPORTANT! The glue for glaze has liquidifying effect (defloculant) so it shoud be added BEFORE THE WATER !
